Typically from Brazil, Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) is a native Amazon fruit with great economic potential – mainly for its flavoursome, aroma and ability of domestic and agro-industrial use of its pulp and seeds.

In industry, Cupuaçu is mainly used for the production of alcoholic drinks, ice cream, cosmetics and even chocolates.
